Rims for exotic cars..?

Im woundering how hard would it be to make custom rims, like chrome for exotic cars such as ferrari, lambos, porsches, mercedes - benz etc etc. I Know for the ferraris and lambos you would have to make them just right every little inch so it doesnt effect the speed, steering, or anything else. Would it be hard to do it? can it be done? is there a company that already does it? (make lots of custom rims for exotics only). Also what would you need to start your own compnay for making car rims besides lots money? Thanks everyone.

1. plenty of companies do make any custom wheel you want.. rims are found on bicycles wheels are on cars.. a rim is the outer part of a spoke wheel...you have a rim ,spokes and a hub
2. I guess machining knowledge would be a first, and some sort of engineering experience. The wheel of a car has alot of forces acting on it. Rotational, impact, gravity, vehicle weight, alot has to be considered in designing a wheel. Also the quality of the material the wheel is made from is in direct relation to the parameters set by the engineering of the wheel. Wheels are something people will always want to change, if you have new ideas, someone out there will like it. You just may set the new trend. Good luck!
3. If you could design and make a lighter stronger wheel people will flock to your door.
