Torque and Chrome

are the original hubcaps on a 80-90 chevy caprice chrome or alluminum?

i just was wondering cause i been using eagle one chrome & wire wheel cleaner on them...

3. They are plastic. The chrome and wheel cleanor shouldnt hurt them too much, though
4. My "83 CL Chevy Caprice was ordered with wire 'caps'. These chrome plated caps mated to stainless 'beauty rims' and stainless centers never-ever showed one sign of rust anywhere over the're 25 plus years of being driven through snow,sleet and the pounds of salt they accumilated by a 'wash twice a year woman driver'. I replaced these spokers with same-year 'police spec caps' made of stainless after you could not here a dog screem over the sqeek of those spokers! Then I sold the car for twice it's listed blackbook value!

7. Depends on which ones you have. The plain stock caps are plastic and stainless. The optional locking or nonlocking wire caps are stainless. I'm not sure what the police style dog dish caps are.
