Torque and Chrome

What is better on a car: chrome or alloy wheels?

Which is more durable/easy to clean? Which looks better?

1. chrome looks better to me, its more shiny. alloy wheels are a little cheeper. i think they are about the same to clean
2. Not sure about durability or ease of cleaning, but personally I think chrome looks better.

5. chrome is easier to clean. but steel chrome wheels are much heavier and affect gas mileage and accelration
6. Painted aluminum alloys are a lot more durable, especially up north. I actually prefer silver painted alloys over chrome. I think chrome wheels got a little played out.
