what is the best method to acheive concours chrome wire wheels without killing my fingers.?

I have an old car that is in amazing condition. It has "chrome wire wheels" which are the old spoked type and I wondered what the best way of cleaning, drying and polishing them was. We all see these amazing concours cars every now and again, how do they do it? My fingers are causing me agony! Please Help!

1. Anything from the S100 range. Yup, it's a motorcycle cleaner and polish, but it doesn't know it's being used on a car! Excellent stuff for that showroom shine.
2. auto glym m8 prob better with acid free cleaner or tar and adesive remover followed with instant show shine if using acid dont leave it on to long if u have a pressure wash even better soft brush there are wheel brushes out there any carshop buy good products and equipment and they pretty much do the job them selfs
3. Have you seen the cillit bang ad with the coin. Might be a good idea to try it ?
4. I find the best way of getting a nice deep shinny finish to wire wheels, even the old spoked type which attrac dirt everywhere, and are really fiddly to get spotless , is to...............................................................................................................................................................................bribe someone else to do it! Sorry, there just isn't an easy way that I know of!
5. Solvol Autosol chrome cleaner and a toothbrush. You can buy it from most accessory shops and garages and it really is the best cleaner for chrome. The toothbrush allows you to get into all the awkward bits with out finger damage yet is not scratchy enough to damage the surface. Still needs a bit of elbow grease but it works.
6. Find a reputable detail shop & have the wire wheels only, detailed. It'll be worth it. I had 2 Jaguar XK-Es and those type wheels are NOT easy to clean. Detailers have small tools for cleaning tight spots like those wheels.
