Torque and Chrome

How do you keep your male bulldog from peeing on your chrome truck wheels?

I've tried everything I know of, he still does it-except he'll do it when I'm not looking or on the other side of the truck where I can't see. He KNOWS it's BAD! He's 16 months old.

  1. cool chrome its his truck hes saying that it is his truck with pee
  2. he still needs to mark his territory, maybe not let him around your truck?
  3. Dogs do not "know" that they are "bad". All they know is that their behaviors elicit certain responses from their owners, and it seems like he has learned that peeing on the truck in front of you makes you angry. It seems like this has become a learned behavior, so your best bet is to physically separate him from the truck. ...And if he still manages to pee on the tires, so what?! It's a tire for pete's sake!
  4. Sanitize the TIRE not the chrome! Even though you are cleaning the chrome wheels the tire and surrounding area probably still has a 'scent'. Try any of the pet sanitizer sprays you can find at your local pet stores and be sure to spray the entire tire and under the rim. Good luck!
  5. fence your yard or get rid of the chrome. because somethings are just not going to change a dog marking its territory is one of those natural things.
  6. Actually, I've seen many of my dogs through the years doing that as well. I'm guessing its something about the scent of the rubber of the tires or the brakes (brake dust) that they want to mark their scent there. I don't think its your chrome rims, your dog just aims in the general vicinity and that what he hits.
  7. Keep him on a leash and away from the truck.
