Torque and Chrome

question on painting stock wheels?

okay so i want to powdercoat my stock 2000 Jetta wheels black and get a chrome/polished lip. where would i be able to take them? i can paint them myself, i've done it a lot, BUT I want a polished lip, should I ask a paint shop? And, would it be stupid to do this to stock 2000 Jetta wheels?

  1. Most auto paint stores can get the powder coat for you, so you could always go to your kitchen and use the oven if the rim will fit inside the stuff I used was pre-heat to 450 and bake for 30 min in the summer with the wife and kids out of town and a lot of fans in all the windows THE SMELL WILL KILL YOU
