What Size Rims Should I Get?

I have a 98 Ford Contour and I want to put 18' Chrome rims on there but if I do that I have to get small tires but if I get 17' rims it'll be the right fit for my car. Which one would be best 17' or 18'

6. The car is almost 9 years old, a 1998 Ford Contour. Chrome rims on a 8 year old second or third hand car is a total waste of money. Save the money on the rims and put it in the bank.
