Car Dealers and Car Enthusiast?
I am trying to sell my truck, its 2001 Dodge Dakota R/T 4 Door, it has a 5.9 v8, K&N Cold Air intake with hood scoop, Chrome Brush Guard, Tinted windows, Alpine Stereo w/ a 800 watt amp pushing 6 fosgate speakers, 22" Rims wrapped in Toyo and 4 stock dodge tires, I only drive it around town and only have 55,000 miles on it, never missed a change or a tune, it has $10k of accessories 4k of it is in tires and rims. Also selling it with 3 years of Sirius Radio. Looking for a good selling price the car is in awesome shape clean title. Need to sell it for more of a family car I guess we all have to grow upI have some pictures on flickr No it doesn't have a sub in it all the speakers are indoor or dash, whats up with being all racial, it also has dual flows, bell super charger, and have a boost chip (I dont think it did anything) it gets about 11.5 mpg with the 22"s and about 15.5 with the stocks.

- Looking at what you did to this truck and how much money you've spent on "upgrades," you need to grow up real fast. As for selling it, you need to find somebody, who does NOT want to grow up...
- Don't listen to the moron above me. It sounds like a cool truck.
- Pickup trucks will always be a waste of money. $4000 on tires and big stupid wheels will not help it's resale value. So unless you can find another child with to much money I would be prepared to take a big loss. What's its gas mileage? Very bad I bet.
- This will be a hard truck to get your money out of. I would only expect to get the value of the vehicle plus about an extra 1000-2000 for the extras. What you are trying to do is find a buyer with your exact same taste in vehicles. It sounds like a nice truck and you might try listing it on ebay with a reserve on it. That will surly tell you want the interest is on the truck and what they offer for it. What would you pay for the truck if you were to buy it. Thats what you have to ask yourself. Put yourself in the buyers shoes. It will also have to be a cash sale or someone with very good credit because all those extras mean nothing to a finance company. Usually vehicles over $5000 are no longer cash sales. People looking for a 2001 Dakota will not usually have that kind of cash.
- since you still have the stock wheels take off those retarded "deuce-deuces" and sell them separately to some black guy with an expedition or something. you would get about the same money out of the truck without the rims; it really doesn't add value to a car. also if a couple of those speakers are subwoofers, take them out along with the amp and sell that to another black guy with an expedition. that also wouldn't add any value to a car if sold with it. other than that, look up the resale on kelly blue book or n.a.d.a for a stock 01 dakota r/t and you'll have your answer. btw, if you would've made it a hot rod (witch is what it was designed to be origionaly) it would've been a much cooler truck. 4000 on rims? wheres the engine mods? and a k&n filter doesn't count.
