should i trade in my 07 dodge charger SE for a used RT with HEMI?
About 5 months ago i got a Dodge Charger SE 2.7 V6. Now that im making a little more money I was wodering if it would be worth trading in my Charger for an RT or if i should just keep me SE and save money for a a year or so and get a different car (like a used BMW or BENZ).............If i kept the SE i would probably just give it a sexy paint job... Or i could just trade it in for a used low mile charger r/t and pay around 4k difference and just leave it stocked.. Keep in mind im 19 so what would u recomend for a guy like me.? My charger is currently white on 22 chrome rims and im happy with it but i would love that HEMI leather sunroof...ect :D thank you for your help..

- the HEMI in the RT is a sick engine. I love the sound of them when they go by me. If you are looking for more performance than luxury than i suggest getting the RT. you wont be dissapointed with it i can tell you that.
- Keep it for awhile, then trade when they change the Charger in a couple years, if you still like Chargers by then.
- The 2.7 is gay. If you can afford the upgrade then by all means do it.
- You would take a huge loss trading in a car after only 5 months. You should have gotten the R/T in the 1st place.
- May i suggest, call your insurance agent and ask them about the difference in rates. Just think of what you could do with an extra hundred bucks a month.
- Yes you should.
- if it were me in your shoes id trade it in,the stock hemi,s are nice cars and don't need much upgrading done to them, live life to the fullest now ,if you want it and can afford it do it,i made a decision like this once, and was glad i did,you only live once in life enjoy it while you can, good luck.
- I’m 24 years old and had a similar problem. I was in the market for a brand new 2006 Dodge Magnum (3.5L V6 250HP), but before I purchased the vehicle I test driven a pre-owned Dodge Magnum RT with under 30 000 kilometers for about the same price. The Magnum RT was in new condition, the engine and transmission performed perfectly, and I really loved the extra features such as the Navigation system, DVD entertainment system, Sunroof, Leather, Heated seats, and most importantly the high performance power. Once when I test driven that pre-owned Magnum RT I completely forgot about the brand new Dodge Magnum (base), with no navigation, leather, sunroof or DVD system. In your case I would go for it, just do it fast because the re-sale value drops quickly for Chrysler and Dodge in general. Find a Charger RT with less than 30 000 kilometers, and take it to a trusted private mechanic that will inspect the transmission, engine, interior, and underbody (it’s worth the extra $75). Stay away from former rentals, and preferably find a Charger RT that was a company vehicle (my Magnum was the manager’s personal car at the dealer from where I bought it). However, keep this in mind: 1. Dodge Charger RT will be more expensive on insurance 2. Dodge Charger RT will be more expensive on gas – you will be able to drive about 425 – 500 kilometers on a full tank of gas – 72L – if you install a Mopar cold-air intake, the RT will be a bit more economical. So go for it, why not? It is a much better car. You will get the luxury, technology, attention, and most important high performance power!! Something the Charger SE does not have at all. The Charger RT is a fun and beautiful car with a really advanced transmission system, the base Charger is just a means of affordable transportation; nothing more. And most importantly the Charger RT will make you happier, and get your friends more jealous. LOL Also, if you get that RT Charger; you will not want anything else for the next few years, not even the Mercedes or BMW. You will love it just that much.
