Torque and Chrome

Will the 20 inch rims I have on my 1500 2003 Silverado fit the same bolt pattern on a 2007 1500 Avalanche?

I have a 2003 1500 Extended cab Shortbox, 2 wheel drive Chevy Silverado that I just put New 20" Goodyear Eagle II P285/50/R tires and Chrome MKW MK-9 20" Rims on. I am going to purchase a new 2007 1500 2 wheel drive Avalanche and I want to be able to put my new rims and tires on it. Will they interchange? And if they will not fit a 2007 Avalanche, will they fit a 2007 Chevy Crew cab 1500 2WD Silverado?

  1. yes yes and yes chevy is good about keeping wheel bolt patterns simple(Truck or Car)
  2. You can call an Auto Parts Store that sell wheels or call a Junkyard. What you really need to do is call your Dealership to see if they can re-program your computer and if the new wheels will void your warranty! Most newer cars and trucks have computers and sensors that are Programed for specific reasons. If people change tire size, the larger (or smaller) tire diameter will cause trouble with the SPEED SENSORS. You could cause M A J O R problems if you do not research this further. Shifting trouble, poor fuel mileage, Anti-lock break problems, odometer incorrect, turning and handling troubles, alignment "Geometry" changes, and a few other nasty troubles.
  3. yes avalanche can hold up 2 22" rims on stock....over 22" the car needs 2 be modified
  4. i think they will. just count the bolt and if it has the same amount the bolt pattern will be the same since they are all general motors products.
  5. Why in the WORLD would ANYONE put 20" rims on a TRUCK or SUV? yuck
  6. I agree with the above guys who said navagating Chevy bolt patterns is pretty easy, so no problem. But, don't forget to measure the circumferance of the "stock" Avalance tire and then yours, and if there's a difference, some speedometer recalibration will be needed. I think it's all electronic now; I used to change the little speedo drive gears back in the day.
