Paint chrome rims?

Is it possible to paint some 22" chrome rims with flat black paint.?? or do i have to do something to remove the chrome first?? sorry people it this is a dumb question but o well! =]

1. you can paint them but it depends on what type of paint it is cause if it is just spray paint it will come off it needs to be some kind of chrome paint and why would you wanna paint some 22" chrome rims anyways
2. yes but sand them first with sand paper or the paint will fall off it will not stick to a smoth surface
3. Go with powder coating. It is far stronger than paint and will last longer. Looks better too. Most paint shops and custom shop can do this for you. If you must paint, properly prep the surface. Yes, sand the area to be painted, put down a high temp primer, black if you can find it. Then lay down a high temp paint, followed by high temp clear coat. The high temp stuff is needed as the brakes make the wheels hot. You don't want the paint to flake off and the wheels to look like ass after a month. Any auto parts store will have the stuff you need.
