should i buy some custom rims or keep my factory rims?
i have a 2006 nissan sentra. its black with 16 inch rims. i want new rims but cant decide if i really want them only to get them and regret getting them. my tires are almost bald now. i was going to replace my factory rims and tires with aftermarket 17 inch black rims with chrome lip instead of getting the OEM tires back and keeping my factory rims. what should i do or any advice?

- I personally don't like the black rims...BUT...if you go to tirerack.com, you can try rims on your car and see how they look. I have a PT cruiser (base model w/hubcaps) and found a set I'm gonna buy in a few months that way. You can pair them with tires and they will mount them and send them...all you have to do is get them put on your car. If anything, it's fun to play around with.
- DUde, Buying rims for your car is the stupidest idea, especially if its a SENTRA LOL.... car's depreciate in value, not appreciate... so whatever money you put into your car, you aren't ever going to see back again.... so why put expensive crazy rims on a cheap economy car? People who have expensive cars or trucks can upgrade them with a set of rims, to make the car look that much better... but rims on an "everyday" car just make people like me laugh. Black rims are so ghett and you know it... why do u wanna waste your money on that when you could buy something for yourself instead.. that might even appreciate in value. (Like a STOCK OR BOND for example . lol) or just a sweet new winter coat or something (get a Burberry coat or somethin instead of silly rims)
- for some their cars are their hobbies...so making it look nice is what ppl do...some ppl like to express themselves through their cars...so if u think the rims show who u r do it...either way buy the damn rims if u ever sell the car just take the rims off and put the OEM back on and sell that then sell the rims seperate...
- No net gain just replace the stock tires with the same. You bought an economy car that gets 31 mpg installing larger wheels will just loose gas milage. Besides your saving up for the Rogue that would look better with some chrome wheels financed with the car deal growing family and all. Perhaps a 350Z?
