I'm considering buying a 1989 limited edition Toyota Supra manual with single turbo?

rare 1989 limited edition with digital dash turbo manual with 150,000 KM's all electrics working perfectly it has an aftermarket 2.5" cat back exhaust pod filter ssq bov lowered, also has electronic suspension chrome 17" rims apexi turbo timer boost gague stereo with amplifier Included with the sale is about half an engine in parts spare head, turbo, alternator, fuel rail, injectors, coil pacs, a/c compressor, ecu, manifolds the list goes on Basically cosmetics are in perfect condition. $5000 I'm going to test drive it and check it out tomorrow, would anyone be able to give me some stuff to look out for when I look at it tomorrow or tips on why I should/shouldn't get it? Thanks.

  1. Check to see if there's any plastic ties in the engine bay. If you see ANY, walk away. That just means poor modding job. also, check out the head gasket if you can. MKIII Supras are notorious for blown head gaskets. Other than that, check for the usual things you'd check for in an old car such as accident history, how well it drives, rust, etc. $5000 sounds mighty cheap, be careful. But if everything checks out, good for you! Great car.
