Torque and Chrome

Question about black culture and cars?

Whenever I see an average looking car tricked out with big and gaudy chrome wheels, there is always a black driver. What is it about black culture that these wheels are desirable even for cars that are run down? Yes, but what is it about the look that they desire to have it? Big chrome wheels on a run down sedan just looks silly, and I don't think that's a 'white' thing.

  1. Q: What is it about black culture that these wheels are desirable even for cars that are run down? A: It's something they derive pleasure from having.
  2. That's not black culture. EDIT: That's the hop hop culture not black culture. Effects whites to, harder than blacks. I'm 21 and you won't see rims on my ride.
  3. I've really only noticed this heavily down South. I've lived in the Northwest and in the Northeast and it's not that big of a trend with Blacks in either regions. So don't think that this is big with the general black population/culture. It's not. Why don't you ask those Blacks who live in the South? I don't know
  4. You know I wondered the same thing? And half the time...their rims were fake. Like 22's in rims on a small little car that looks like it came from the dump.
