Torque and Chrome

If I get black rims with a chrome edge are they safe to ride in the winter without wearing the chrome away?

I wanna order some rims and Im looking at a set of blck 24s but the center piece and the edge are chrome if I ride them in the winter is it gonna damage the chrome?

1. Depends on where your at actually. If you live somewhere that they use allot of salt then any rim will get damaged after time. I would just get what you want and make sure you keep them clean so it doesn't chemically remove either paint or chrome.
