- Simply chrome polish. you can get it auto zone or most any auto shop. Steel wool along with the polish can work sometimes,it depends though. ask the guy at the store first
- I'm guessing you actually have aluminium wheels with a mirror polished rim, not chrome. If it's aluminium, just get it polished again, u can do it yourself with 1200 grit wet/dry paper then go down to 1600 grit and mild metal polish. Yes it will take u ages. Get a pro to do it I would. For normal cleaning I would never use anything abrasive on "chrome". As a rule of thumb, don't put it on your wheels if you wouldn't use it on your d!ck, but yours are past that point now by the sounds. Use common sense. The enemy of alloy or chrome is anything abrasive or chemically reactive. Once your alloy is restored, either clear coat it to protect it, or just keep polishing it. Wax/polish will protect them for a while but in winter (salt etc eats alloy) you need to be washing them all the time. Hot soapy water with regular car wash/soap, and a soft sponge. Then wipe dry with a leather or soft cloth and polish/wax. You can use furniture wax or water dispersant like WD40 on a cloth Try not to et slippery stuff on your brakes.
- To remove dirt and grime any tire and wheel cleaner will work.To clean and polish use Never Dull.
