Torque and Chrome

What can you use to remove the "cloudy" spots off chrome rims? Is it possible to remove?

  1. MOTHER'S (tm) RIM POLISH USUALLY DOES THE JOB.
  2. Yes and no. See, depending on what caused the clouding over, you may or may not be able to remove it. If the clouding was caused by scratching or a chemical reaction, then you'd have to have them re-polished and re-chromed. If it's caused by dirt or just brake dust, clean them off with regular hot soap and dish detergent and gently wipe them down with a chrome wheel polishing cloth. Just use an old tooth brush to clean the stuff off with by the way, it'll work better than a rag or scrub brush.
