Torque and Chrome

would it be ok to go off roading with 18 inch chrome rims on a ford f150?

I just got a brand new Ford F-150 xlt with an off road package and i want to take it off roading (nothing crazy, just like a class 1 trail). It has a chrome package which gives it 18 inch chrome rims. would they get damaged while off roading?

2. How many car rims have you seen in scrap yards because they were damaged out on the roads? If it can happen on the street it most certainly can happen off road.
