- well if it runs drives and stops, its worth five hundred, you can buy a direct replacement long block from gm performance for 1,900 say 1200 to 1500 for a decent paint job (probably less though. if the rest of it is in good shape, and first year iroc is 87 so its either a camaro 2 dr coup, a camaro berlinetta, or a z28 if the owner said its an iroc, he is full of it. high book www.nada.com is around 4 grand, for the camaro or the camaro berlinetta, the z28 option bumps the price to 5,500 high retail, (you have to look in the classic section to get a price on your car. Some year camaros are more collectible than others, but there are camaro lovers everywhere, if you know how to do your own work, and you have a lot of free time, you can iron out some of the major issues, get a paint job and have a nice car, otherwise, you can get to five grand pretty easy in a shop. www.hemmings.com is an online car magazine with deep roots in the car world all over the planet. you can check last months ads for free, or sign up for a small fee for the online version, or pay for a hard copy to a mailing address. there are two 84 camaro, one for 4,995 ( which backs up nada, ) and a z28 for just under 12 grand, autotrader classics.com also has classics for sale, lets go see what they have found several 84 prices vary depending on convertible or not, some of the dealers had higher expectations and higher prices to, so good luck
