Torque and Chrome

Is there anyway to strip down some rims with chrome paint on them?

I got 4 set of chrome rims. One of them is basically chipped off and i decided to repaint them. The problem is, i dont exactly know how to strip the chrome paint off the other 3 wheels. any ideas? Also, how much would it cost to have a shop do it?

2. Well Lee. if it is actually paint you can use an aircraft paint stripper to loosen it from the wheel and it will wipe off. Most of the time the chrome is actually dipped and can not be chemically stripped from the wheel. If it is this type you will have to have them sand blasted or media blasted to remove the old chrome. There are many companies that will do the job for you but the cost will depend on where you live. I can get them done for about $20.00 - $50.00 each depending on how bad the rust is.
