How much could i get for my truck?
i know there's websites like kelley blue book and all but i want to hear an actual person's opinion on this. I have a 1998 Chevrolet k1500 Silverado z71 Ext Cab w/ 3rd door. It has 146k miles. Also, it has a 3 inch body lift on new 33 inch BF Goodrich All terrains. other things it comes with are: custom Eagle Alloy rims, new sony xplod head unit, Memphis PR door speakers (300 dollars new), toolbox, chrome door handles, complete grill guard, new battery , new starter, new brake light switch, custom tailights, true dual exhaust with new chrome tips. the interior is in literally excellent condition with no scratches or tears. also it has power windows and door locks. the paint is in good shape and the truck only has a few dents and scratches on it. Roughly how much do you think i can get for my truck if i sold it private party and also if i tried to sell it to a dealership? Thanks

- Private Party: $5-$6,000. Dealer: $2-$3,000.
- The things you have done to it don't necessarily add to it's "value". Many people shy away from modified vehicles. Some of the other items (battery, starter etc.) are normal amintenance. My suggestion to get an idea what to ask for it is look at other listings for similar vehicles. Book prices are not all that accurate and don't reflect modifications.
- Dents/scratches make this truck worth maybe 3-4k to a private party. Someone might pay more but I'm just saying that 1)not everybody is going to like the things you did with this truck, 2)dents and scratches lower value, 3)mileage lowers value. Since most people who would buy a truck need to commute the heavy AT tires and lift aren't going to be ideal for commuting. If the stock stuff still works (stereo) I'd swap it back in and sell the aftermarket stuff, might get more money for it.
- You should be able to get $5,500 for it easily with all the extras. Detail it, wax it, and list it on craigslist throroughly and well described.
- 2-3grand
