My dad's friend has a 1971 Plymouth Barracuda or 'Cuda, I don't know which it is, sitting in his barn that I want really bad and it belongs to a friend of his. My dad's friend says that he's gonna talk to the other guy about selling it because he wants it out of his barn. However I have no idea what it is worth. It has all of the bodywork done to the exterior and it was primed and looks like it is ready to paint, there is no interior except the cracked dash, steering wheel, and shifter (auto). No glass front or back, but I think it is just rolled down in the doors and back side windows. The chassis is still complete with an engine and transmission and wheels and brakes and everything. My dad's friend thinks that he has most of the parts (bumpers, need to be chromed, broken grill, headlights and tail lights, various trim pieces and maybe some interior parts). I really want this car to restore, but money is a bit of an issue, I think that if I was to get it running and driving, I'd just paint the whole thing interior and exterior and put in some cheap racing seats and enough gauges to be able to drive and just have some fun with it. Then I can restore it completely when I get the money. It has been sitting in the barn for at least eight years now, but I have lots of mechanical experience with cars and motorcycles so that shouldn't be a big problem. Also, It has a hood that doesn't have any scoops or "shaker" holes or anything, the engine is covered with a tarp and lots of other things are set on it, what kind of engine does it have? It can't be one of the high end ones with a plain hood can it? I think that he said it is all original still. Sorry to write a novel, but I an really curious how much I should be paying for it if he wants to sell. I want this car bad!!! I'm going to probably check it out this weekend so I can take a closer look at it and get some more details if anyone has a question. Thanks
