Torque and Chrome

QUESTION ABOUT SHOCKS ON CAR! PLS HELP?

So i have a isuzu axiom 2003. I got it checked up earlier the day at ken towery's and at first they said it will only cost me 79 dollars each, but then later they realized its a different kind of shock i need and they have to actually order it directly from isuzu and it cost 189 each for front and 99 each for rear. Do you think its cheaper somewhere else? Anyway, the problem is i dont have the money to get it fixed ryt now. And they said it wont be safe to drive it, i'm really worried. Can i get away with driving it for a month or so without any further damage? And also the car is paid off, i've had caskets replaced, brake pads, and tires and now the shocks. I'm tired of having all these problems come up every 2 months. It has 72,000 mileage. Would you guys suggest to trade this car in or just get the shocks fixed since its paid off already. I really dont want another car and have to pay monthly for it again. It'd be cool to trade a car in with equal value and as nice as mine but i doubt it i've already tried that and they tried to bust my head by offering me a crap car. The car is fully loaded with leather seats sun roof, chrome wheels and cd player. I have a small dent in da back and thats about it. What should be the best move i should take regarding this situation? Any help would be greatly appreciated.tnx

1. Good thing you had your "caskets" replaced. I'd hate to die in a car with an old casket in the trunk! LOL!! Just ask your local auto parts place what kind of shocks they stock for this car and pick one and go find a shop that knows what's - what. Good Luck!
