How do I make chrome on Adobe Photoshop CS5?

I am making a logo for a website. It is already drawn out in plain colors. How can I apply a chrome effect to it? I am willing to redraw it but I will stress that it is a custom image not text that I want to chrome. I am entirely new to photoshop so please be specific. Thank you

2. You can find some chrome effects in Photoshop Styles. If you can't find them go to Window menu and click on Swatches: near Swatches panel there is the Styles panel. To open the menu click on the right where you see a tiny arrow with some lines. In Text Effects 2 you'll find an effect called Dented Thin Aluminium and in Web styles there are also some chrome effects.
