Can I Paint Over Chrome Wheels?

I have a 05 Magnum and i just got a set of 24" wheels put on and i want to get the face of the rims matte black and the lips white. can i paint over the chrome?? if not no biggie

1. i dont know why you would want to paint over chrome wheels but if you must you can. You may have to sand and prime them first to keep it from flaking off. Besides that you shouldn't have any problems.
2. no, paint will not stick to chrome, electroplating rejects paint and primer, the plating would have to be chemically removed for the paint to stick. it would be cheaper to buy non-chrome plated wheels.
