How to remove glue on chrome clad wheels?

After buying a new car I noticed glue all over the rims. Kind of like someone stuck a big piece of tape on it and the glue came off in a few places. Being that chrome clad wheels are plastic I'm scared to use glue remover on them because it might eat into them or cause discoloration. I was going to take it back to the dealership, but want to know if its something easy I can just do at home.
