Torque and Chrome

Physics: Torque Question help?

I really need help on this problem.. I keep staring at this problem, my notes, and the book.. The drain plug on a car's engine is required to be tightened to a torque of 25 mN. If you are using a 0.15-meter long wrench to change the oil of that engine, what is the minimum force you need to apply to loosen the plug? So I have no idea where and how to start.. so please help. Thank youu very much.

  1. It is all about leverage. Torque is Force x Length of Lever arm T = 25 Nm = F *.15m F = 25Nm/.15m F= 166.7 N
