What is chrome plating and how does it work also this chrome spray on.?
I have wrecked an A arm on my snowmobile and it costs like 500 dollars for a chrome one but a black one cost only 125. Could I chrome plate or spray on the black one and make it look as good as the other A arm on my snowmobile. I need this fixed quick

- You could have one plated. The "spray on" chrome does not last or look as good as having the real thing.
- chrome plating is applied electrically, kind of like welding but with a much thinner coating. Elecroplating is the name of the process and it is not cheap. I imagine a snowmobile a arm could be plated for less than $100 at a local plater. That would be much cheaper than the 375 dollar difference you are talking about. It is a toy, why bother with the way it looks? the chrome part will resist rust better than the black one, but is that really much a concern? its not like it will rust that badly if it is painted
- nope go for the black for the rest of the season ,you got all summer to fixer up.
