2005 Harley Sportster- good asking price?

We are trying to sell our 2005 Harley Sportster 883 Custom on Craigslist and I'm not exactly sure what's a reasonable asking price. It has a few aftermarket add-ons, such as: *Chrome flame foot controls *Detachable windshield *8 in rear passenger backrest It was kind of an impulse buy and now we just don't need it financially. It was hardly ever rode. Also, the bike was dropped once and has a very small scratch on the bottom of the front tailpipe which is not visible unless you're laying on the ground looking up, and a very small one on the end of the front brake lever that is also barely noticeable unless you are specifically looking for it. Anyone with some motorcycle experience have any suggestions on how much we should ask for it? We still owe $2500 so is it ok to ask for more than that? I mean we did put money into it with the add-ons and it has extremely low miles. Well, thanks for your help :-)

  1. it is worth alot more than 2500. sounds like it almost new condition with low miles. Do a search on craigslist in several cities to see what they sell for. Then put yours at the top price since it is almost new condition. http://tampa.craigslist.org/search/mcy?query=sportster&catAbbreviation=mcy&minAsk=min&maxAsk=max
