How to paint chrome bullitt wheels?
Hey. I've got a '99 Mustang with 17" Chrome Bullitt wheels on it. The chrome is starting to kinda flake off and rust. And I wanted to know how I could make them look like new again. Somebody mentioned to me that I could sandblast them and repaint them. Any ideas? Thanks.

- Seriously look into sand blasting and powder coating. The PC shop i worked at did wheels all the time. And if these wheels are as cheap as they sound, no offense, you may find someone that will blast with walnut shells. Not as abrasive, and leaves a smoother coating medium. Depending on the color of powder you want, dictates the price. Black is the cheapest, and gloss black being a tad more pricey than Vulcan black. Do some research. The color options are endless, and PC'ing is damn near indestructible.(within reason that is) Good luck
- U have to grind and polish Nice Wheels.
- i work at a powder coating shop and you could get them sandblasted, sanded, and painted for real cheap there are many colors with high gloss and colors like black chrome look really sharp.but if you would like them chrome again you still have to sandblast, sand, polish and bring them to a metal finishing shop and they can rechrome them but that is a pretty penny
- You can have your wheel re-chromed, but this can be pretty expensive. Most shops that do this type of work will have a minimum order charge, and then the price of the completed job will depend on the condition of the wheels and how much work is needed. Having the wheels sandblasted and repainted would be a less expensive option but powder coating may be your best bet. Here's a powder coating price list from Absolute Powder Coating, as an example: http://www.absolutepowdercoating.com/price-automotive.html
