What is the difference between soft chrome rims and hard chrome rims?

1. Ha ha, never heard of "soft" chrome. I can tell you that real chrome, not fake crap made in Taiwan is very, very very hard. Almost impossible to damage, just take a look at Craftsman tools. So, the difference is that hard chrome wheels are made by people with a passion for quality, and soft chrome wheels are made by factory owners trying to maximize profits without consideration to quality.
