What is the best way to store chrome rims for the winter?
I live in Michigan so it gets really cold and it snows. Im gonna put my rims in the garage for the winter, but do I need to cover them or put them in boxes so the moisture wont affect them. Would it be alright to wrap them in bubble wrap? Please any advice would help.

- wat are u up to? just roll them
- okay first, you're going to need some of that bubble wrap - you those addicting things you pop, that make loud noises... but you just can't stop b/c it's fun popping them? second, saran-a-wrap (how do u spell that?) them about five times around third, wrap tin foil around them. just once though and keep a fan blowing on them all winter for air flow
- After you take them off, clean them well. Then, spray them with WD-40. Make sure you completely cover all of the chrome. The WD-40 displaces moisture, thus keeping your rims from pitting or rusting. Re apply the spray every month or so, that will keep to much dust from building up. Many rim company's sell a moisture displacement spray. It's much more expensive, and is basically the same thing as WD-40. At the end of the winter, a simple washing with Dawn dish washing liquid, will remove all of the oils, and your rims will be ready for a season of sparkling. Don't ever just wrap them, with bubble wrap or plastic wrap. It'll trap moisture inside and cause them to rust prematurely.
- first, take the tires off them second, clean them up reeaal good third, keep them inside the house this will keep the cold from cracking them i got a pair of 20"
- Roll them into XL trashbags... Then spray w/ a little lube such as WD-40... and tie the bags... they will be good for the winter. But make sure you clean the rims once they come off.
