Will Polished Aluminum rims last though winter?

I am looking at buying a truck and it has Custom polished aluminum rims. Will these last through snow and salt, or are they like chrome rims

1. no there not like chrome rims as most newer polished aluminum rims have a clear coating put on them to help protect them, it will take a few winters to start working on the clear coat.
