  1. type into search box how to clean chrome how make chrome shine
  2. Take it apart, clean and polish everything, then reassemble.
  3. You should try the product listed in the link below, it works real good. It is S100 Finish Restorer, Here is the exact wording from the page. "S100 Finish Restorer will brighten and polish all the metal and metal plated surfaces on your bike, as well as remove minor swirls from paintwork and de-cloud plastic windscreens. There is no other product on the market that works equally well on such a variety of materials. This polish is gentle enough to use on your windscreen without scratching but tough enough to polish your tarnished or rusted metal to like-new condition." I have used this myself on my bike and it does work. You may be able to find this product at a local bike dealer. You apply it similar to car wax, for best results let it dry for a few seconds the wipe off. May need more than one application for really dull areas. I had some type of material that showed up on my muffler, to this day I am not sure what it was. I think it may have been some rubber off the sole of my shoe. you couldn't pry this stuff off, believe me I tried. I applied more than a generous amount of the S100, even then I had to scrape some off with a knife. But, it made it somewhat easier to come off. I did wind up putting light scratches in the chrome, but luckily the area is hidden by the saddle bag. You won't need to do any scraping to just polish out the chrome, I was just relating how well this stuff works, before I applied this S100 I couldn't budge whatever it was. But, after applying the S100 and letting it sit for a few minutes it started to break it loose.
