Torque and Chrome

is the hayabusa a good motorcycle?

my whole extended family has bikes and were always trying to have a better bike than each other. since im tighter on cash now and hayabusa sounds like a really great choice anyways. but i need other opinions do you think this bike handles well . would it be good for mountain rides. is the 2007 model a good one or should i pay the extra for the 2008 or 2009. where is the best place to get after market parts for this bike as well. for example chrome wheels and handles spar painted windshield and so forth. thx

  1. No Hyabusas are lousy bikes! come on dude, these for years were the fastest production bikes. They are heavy, but then again they are a large sportbike. Since you are tight on money, just how were you planning on spending thousands for chromed special wheels, and custom accessories?
  2. if you're tight on cash, there are better alternatives, however if you want to be top dog, this is the fastest production bike with alot of aftermarket stuff on it. no, it wouldn't be that great for mountain rides. the liter bikes are the top end of the good handling ones but the 6's and 750's are better in twisties typically. really the 'busa is a good straightliner, but no better than a cruiser on mountain roads.
  3. It's one of the fastest bikes made, Kawasaki's ZX14 being just as fast. but it's heavy and slow handling, get a 600, or 1000 sport bike like the Yamaha R1 or R6. kawasaki Ninja 600, Honda CBR
  4. I think it depends on what you ride now. Hayabusa isn't a beginners bike. You'd better know how to ride.
  5. Hayabusa. They are good for going straight. really fast. period.
