Why do all the mexicans in SoCal drive big a$$ trucks?

Purely an observation, but where I live they have to slow down for a speed bump on a residental surface street right outside my window, so I get to see the demographic of who drives what. Overwhelmingly its mexicans who drive big V8 or V12 trucks needlessly fast, I can hear the big engines gurgle as they floor it off the speed bump..WHY is this? Some kind of road superiority complex? They gotta have the biggest powerful trucks on the road to squash you with? Also they gotta have big ass shiny $4,000 mag chrome wheels, even if the truck itself is old and worth less than $1200. Just an observation I KEEP making day in & day out..whats the PSYCHOLOGY behind this? With gas prices going ever higher..don't these people have ANY sense?

2. They do that here in Louisiana too. Big trucks, and they get rims too. That's just their style. Some go for the lowrider with hydraulics look. Some go with the pinto piece of shit look. And some go with the big trucks look.

6. Just say Hispanic, I don't think you really know where they're from so just call them Hispanic.....calling me Mexican is like saying you're Russian without me even asking you your origins. And to answer you're question. Some people just want attention. They want people to think they have money, and that can pretty much be the reason why they ride big fancy cars. My family has two cars. A van (pretty plain by the way but in good shape) used for construction and a normal car (which is pretty plain as well not crappy not fancy) for driving to the store or school. But I guess I can see what you mean. Two of my neighbors are also Hispanic and they are the only ones in the neighborhood with big shiny cars. I don't know if THEY like to speed but I see no reason to buy such huge cars other then to show it off. And for why they speed. There are people who just don't follow the rules. They speed, DUI, and cause trouble. You'll find many people like this in ALL races. But the people you've mentioned really need to know that the road is for public use. No one owns it and should not be abused in such a way that will cause harm to others.
7. Is it possible that not all the people are Mexican? Could they be from Peru, Colombia, Puerto Rico or another country? Do you have a job? Why do you actually care? The last thing I would be doing is watching who is driving what. I could care less. If all these people were white anglo/saxons would you be that concerned? I believe I know the answer to your question. I grew up in New York City, poor as a church mouse, I got my education, got into Law-Enforcement and rose to the rank of Lieutenant. I bought a beautiful car, top of the line, everything in it except a swimming pool. Status symbol. I made some very good investments, and retired to South America. Great Pension, great life here in Colombia. I happen to like Spanish people more than the average American. They are warm, sincere, loving, humble people. I am not in favor of illegal immigrants, however; I have no problem with legal immigration. Not all Mexicans are saints, neither are Americans. There is very little if any racism here. People, be they white, black, mixed race, Indian are accepted as equals.
