what is the best way to clean rusty chrome rims?

The truck has been sitting up for a while. I really need some help. It is really rusty.

1. brasso & a cloth w/some elbow grease.
2. if they're really rusty, you could sand them down with 300 grit and work you way up to 2000/1500 grit sandpaper. this takes a long time and if it's not done evenly, it could look bad. afterward, use a good polish on them. if they're not terrible, try mother's power metal and the power ball. i've also heard good things about mother's mag and aluminum polish. if they're steelies, use a wire wheel and just paint them.
