is it true police do this.....?

ok i have a ford ranger 2006 sport..but if i added rims like 20 inch or 22 inches do police constantly pull you over..people tellin me don't put rims on my truck because they will keep messin with you..is this true if so i do not want it.. but i am gonna need some new wheels because my back wheels are scratched up and im gonna need some new ones but buyhing the factory wheels would cost more than chrome wheels..because there facotry..

  1. Cops don't mess with you because you put rims on your vehicle. They mess with you when you break the law.
  2. Police like to look at them self so they pull you over to look in to the chrome wheels
  3. Only if the rims are some violation of the law. No ordinance against rims in my area....Don't drive like an idiot with those rims and you shouldn't have a problem.
  4. People think the police "mess" with them when they put nice looking large sized rims/tires on their vehicle. Amazing thing that, larger diameter wheels/rims can make your speedometer off by up to 10 mph. Speedometer says 30 you're actually doing 35 or 40. You can get an adaptor for your speedometer but most people do not.
  5. Not necessarily but it does make you more noticeable. That is one of the reasons that you but the rims on your car. So now everyone is more adapt to see what you are doing. If your breaking the call, a cop is more likely to look your way than if your car is normal. So if you put on rims know the risk.
