Torque and Chrome

How would one measure the plating thickness of a chrome application? ?

What tools, process, methods, test standards, or other info can you share with me about how chrome plating thickness is usually measured ? Is there not a tool specifically for this job (not a microscope) ?

1. it's measured by the amount of time you spend electroplating it. you can cut out a section and measure the thickness in microns but you need a microscope to do it.
