Torque and Chrome

Does anyone know any good products that can get rid of rust from chrome rims? ?

I spent over a thousand dollars on chrome rims and I have only had them for about 5 months and they are already rusting and seem to have some sort of permanent specs on them that wont come off no matter what I do. If anyone knows of any good products or anything please let me know because I have tried everything from Noxon 7 to expensive chrome polish.

  1. most all rims have at least a year warranty id be back there to get new ones....anyway call a professional detail shop and they could probably help you best
  2. Yes mate use brilo pads they will do the job for you.
  3. The primary ingredient in rust remover is Hydrofloric acid. Anything else is a waste. Find any product with hydrofloric acid in it. Probably the easiest over the counter rust remover is used to remove rust in carpets from metal legs on chairs. Contact a carpet cleaning supplier and ask them if they have any rust remover with the acid in it. It wont hurt your hands unless it sits for hours on them. Expect to pay about $13 for a pint bottle or similar. Good luck.
  4. Navel Jelly
  5. sos pad works great.
