what will take rust off of chrome?

i have a motorcycle and there are some tiny pitted spots on some of the chrome.i have tried chrome cleaners and it doesnt get it all off.i remember years ago hearing that coke 'the soft drink"will do it.i havent tried it yet.have u heard of anything else that will do it?

1. Coca-cola and ultra fine steel wool pad/NOT SOS or simular soap pads as they scratch too easily. Then use mothers chrome polish and soft cloth to finish job
2. The fire dept uses some type of commercial cleaner. We have never used coke. I used to have the problem with the passenger melting her sneakers to the pipe. A commercial cleaner and elbow grease would do the trick.

4. YOU CAN USE NAVEL JELLY FOUND IN AUTO PARTS STORE
5. Rolled-up aluminum foil. With or without carbonated beverage.
6. 0000 STEEL WOOL WILL DO THE TRICK.
7. easy off oven cleaner worked on some old chrome rims, that i cleaned up for a hot rod. Remember the pits will always come back and get bigger each time. You should look into either replacing or rechroming.
8. ketchup will take it right off
9. 000 steel wool will clean chrome nicely, also an old trick from the 60's, take a wet rag and rub it in dirt, also works good.
