How do I clean chain lubricant off of chrome?
I have a motorcycle with chrome wheels. I recently greased my chain. I let the grease sit 24 hours before my next ride. When I rode it threw grease on one side of my rear rim, which is chrome. I washed the rim with soap and water but there are still small spots that won't come out. Please help!

- simple green or castrol super clean should work.. if not, a little gas on a rag will take it off.. then just wash the gas residue off with soap & water
- WD40 takes that kind of stuff off. Then just wash again with soap and water.
- get some stuff called mothers crome polish, i did that to,feel kind of dum after ha ha, for real try it most auto parts stores have it
- try warm soapy water before you try any harsh chemicals
- Neva-dull. It's a can of cotton soaked in some solvent. It works wonders. I just cleaned my rims saturday with it. Just tear a small piece off and start rubbing. It will make a black film on the surface, then you just wipe it off with a dry rag and the rim will be shiny like new. You can use it on any metal surface. DO NOT use WD40 on your rims. If any gets on your tires, that would be a bad situation.
