How should I take care a of scratches on my chrome pipes on my motorcycle?

I have shotgun exhaust pipes on my motorcycle, while I was riding in the rain, my rear tire slipped out from underneath me, I was able to control the bike, however, a section a my lower pipe received some pretty good scratches. Anyone have any cost efficient repair tips?

1. nope cant really fix road rash might make it look better with chrome poish but its not going to help much if its bad
2. When i get scratches on my i-pod and things toothpaste seems to help :P, just rub it in the scratch and wipe any access away, also you should posh them alot.
3. There's a product called "Mothers" you can purchase this at Shucks and probably other automotive places..Shines and buffs out scratches in chrome.
4. You can clean and polish and improve this somewhat but the scratches are there for the duration.
5. the Chrome is only .002" deep, if the scratches are even half that deep you can never polish them out without removing the chrome. War wound(s)....
6. Buy some pipe wrap and wrap them black. Easiest way.
