How to paint over chrome?

What do I need to do in order to paint over chrome, preferably without having to take it to someone to have the chrome removed. This is for motorcycle parts by the way, incase that has anything to do with it.

1. chrome will give to smooth a surface, but if you really needed it to last you could blast it / glass bead it. or why dont you have it powder coated.
2. sand it REALLY good with 80 grit on a DA sander first of all. then apply a VERY GOOD quality 2k primer. i suggest U POL. hard to find depending on where you live but you can get it, it is make in the UK. warning if you dont have at least a 2mm tip in your gun it wont spray. after applying the 2k sand and prep just as you would any other surface
3. Doesn't sound like a good idea, but if you must you have to rough up the smooth chrome surface or nothing is going to adhere to it. Powder coating is a good alternative.
