removing rusted chrome?

I would like to remove rusted chrome and clean parts on motorcycle and paint them a regular color is that easily do-able

1. Yes you just need to sand it back gently and it will remove easy because its a metal frame.
2. Sand parts with p220 sandpaper. Apply etching primer. Allow proper drying drying time, and your ready to paint. MUST use etching primer for bare metal/chrome parts.
3. How rusted are they? Sometimes you don't need to repaint them and you might be able to get the rust off. I came across this short article, but it may help you. http://tiregel.com/2008/cleaning-rusted-rims
