V-twin S&S breather problem?

I have a 99 , cmc with a 88inch motor,. The oil comming from my head breather is getting worse. On a 200 mile ride ,I will have oil all over the rear,and dripping when I stop,. It has gotten to a short trip problem. The BS ,,S&S web sight will not allow you to e-mail. I have pulled the rocker covers(custom chrome) to check the gaskets and check valve,.The check valves seem a little hard but not bad,no cracks, I pulled the Cam chest cover, no gasket problems, S&S requires a 92 and older chest gasket for all Super-Stock motors.The gasket is the same one since new, no breaks and a good seal. I did a leak down on the motor, 1/2 to 1% on both,no ring problem. I have a Harley chrome oil filter that was on there for awhile before the problem started,The brather is NOT hooked to the carb,It never was . The problem was not bad before, I put 16000 miles on it the way it was. Something happened and it's not looking me in the eye. I was thinking of changing both crank and head breathers. HELP

1. Robert,I think the head,crank breather exchange is a great idea.Sounds like that should work.
2. I hate to ask the obvious, but is it possible the oil is over filled? Or an incorrect oil filter,( Too high a micron # can slow the internal oil flow). If neither of those are the case I would take another look at the check valve. I had the same thing happen to me on a 100" Patrick Racing motor a few years back, In my case , a cylinder sleeve had slipped in the casting ,my compression and leak down tested fine but the internal oil passage was breached and the thing was dumping oil all over. There was no external test I didn't notice it even after I pulled it apart. It was the techs at Patrick that caught it. Hope yours is simpler than mine was.
