Torque and Chrome

Chrome bolts for motorcycle.What do you use for chrome bolts and chrome nuts, locktight or anti seize?

If I am using nylock nuts do I need to still use anti sieze? I want to replace all bolts to chrome including my motor mount bolts. Some say locktight others say always us anti sieze for chrome. Just looking for info on the right way to do it. thanks Ok, thanks for the answers so far. I was told that I would need anti seize for the chrome bolts and chrome nylock nuts. I understand that chrome on chrome can gaul but am not sure if it is needed with the nylock nuts. Do the chrome threads actually touch the chrome in the nylock nut?

1. If you're using nylock nuts, locktight isn't necessary. Anti seize isn't necessary for bolts 10mm (3/8") and larger. I only use locktight for internal engine nuts and bolts. "Do the chrome threads actually touch the chrome in the nylock nut?" - Yes
2. You can also use Maylox. It does the same thing and drys to a power base.
3. It sounds like you're trying to go in 2 directions. Anti sieze is designed to enhance lubrication so that you can get the bolt and nuts OFF easier. Locktight and Nylock is designed to keep them in place. If you're putting new bolts on, and want them to stay inplace, Locktight is designed to harden when tightened and air is removed. Nylock nuts don't need anything.
