- i do know but can say becauuse i don't ride
- have you tried looking in salvage yards (for motorcycles), they might have everything that your looking for. Another avenue to look into is insurance companies that offer motorcycle policy's, full coverage insurance who would be replacing the bike when it is totalled or damaged. Ask these people where do the motorcycles go once the claim has been paid. Track it down, and you will have found your goldmine! Good luck! Thank you!
- Cheap chrome is crap chrome. Either you have it done right and it's expensive, or you shouldn't do it. regardless, it'll be very expensive. Who will take your motorcycle apart and prep the parts? The chrome shop will not do it, and then you have to pay a competent technician to take it apart and put it back together after it's chromed. Are you willing to invest several thousand dollars into this? If not I would just forget about it.
- I have been riding for years, so I guess I qualify under the experience part. Cheap chrome is not worth getting. You need to either spend the cash on high quality, expensive chrome or not do it all. If you try to be cheap you will end up with cheap results and chrome that last a short time. Nobody knows what cheap means to you. In general cheap is a relative term anyways. Everyone has their own opinion and definition of cheap.
