What style of alloy wheels should i buy?
I have a white Toyota Celica 99+. The time has come for new wheels to be purchased but i am finding it very hard to decide between 17" black with red lip wheels or plain polished alloy (not chrome) wheels. Please tell me your opinion.

- The plain polished alloy. Less flash is more class.
- drug-dealer wheels are never in fashion
- hi, ok, i'm old and we own a garage... wheels, esp blingy ones get stolen. buying wheels is fine, but can you afford to put the proper tyres on them? a decent 17 205x55 is around 150 quid each... and they effect the suspension and the ride... bling doesnt know jack about geometry... for what youll pay for some bling, you could actually make your car faster.. put a supercharger on it... and have it remapped. (chipped) skinny flash tyres look good, but they wont stand hitting a 70 mph pothole without cracking the rim, or bulging the sidewall... which means theyre scrap.
- I have always favored polished alloy wheels. They look better clean or dirty. The black wheels get lost in the wheel wells unless they are clean and the sun is shining direcrtly on them. I also would not put black wheels on a white car. The polished aluminum is actually a better contrast. I like the classic 5 spoke look. Too many spokes make it hard to keep the wheels clean.
- just get a set of bbs.. They're a safe bet.. But i wouldn't bother upgrading a jap car.. Just stick to motorsport alloys.. Also, fivetoze gave an accurate answer!
