What will clean and shine chrome wire wheel covers?

I have an older car with the chrome wire wheel covers, and I want them to shine. How can I clean them well? What tool should I use to get in between all those "wires," and what product will clean and leave a great shine?

1. i use mothers or maas. they are both low abrasive rubbing compounds. you can get maas which I recommend the most at Walgreen's. use a clean cotton cloth when rubbing. remember to test the compounds out in a small spot you cant see from the outside to make sure it doesn't do any damage. it takes awhile to do but it works pretty well. you can get mothers at any auto parts store.
